 The president and founder of Bon’s Eye Marketing, Stephen Bon possesses nearly 10 years of experience in news and feature writing as well as graphic design, editing and marketing strategy. He was awarded by the American Institute for Graphic Arts (Raleigh/Charlotte Chapter) for his cutting-edge design and layout. He’s also received past honors for writing by the North Carolina Press Association.
Before spearheading the full-service, award-winning Bon’s Eye Marketing four years ago, Stephen worked for a firm that helped clinical research organizations (CROs), manufacturers and product development companies in the pharmaceutical industry build up their client bases. Prior to his time on the pharmaceutical scene, he served as the editor for the Greater Wilmington Business Journal for nearly three years. There, he wrote in-depth news stories geared toward the business sector and designed the publication’s pages. Stephen’s responsibilities included managing writers and all things editorial, creating monthly news budgets and promoting the publication within the community.
Aside from his position as the Journal’s editor, he’s worked as a legal reporter, features writer, political reporter, copy-desk editor and layout artist. His award-winning writing has appeared in a number of publications across the state of North Carolina.
In addition to his written work, Stephen routinely serves as a guest speaker at a number of civic functions. His past discussions covered subjects such as writing to a target audience, marketing a business, online marketing, and using the media to improve PR. This, coupled with his regular appearances on broadcast / radio shows and seminar panels keeps him in the public spotlight.

Since graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in journalism almost 10 years ago, Sarah Bon, vice president of operations for Bon’s Eye Marketing, has worked for a variety of publications as a features writer, reporter and editor.
Many of the feature stories she wrote at the Rocky Mount Telegram were picked up by the Associated Press wire and printed in newspapers across the country. As a reporter for the State Port Pilot, Sarah won a handful of awards from the N.C. Press Association, including first place in feature writing and news reporting.
While at the State Port Pilot, Sarah campaigned for more coverage of northern Brunswick County and succeeded. Her push for expanded reporting and public relations helped pave the way for greater circulation and reader awareness in the region.

The editor-in-chief and co-owner of Bon’s Eye Marketing, Marita Bon brings more than 20 years of news, feature, corporate and educational writing experience to her position.
Most recently the founding editor of Wilma!, Wilmington, North Carolina’s first and only women’s magazine, Marita also contributed regularly to the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, the Star-News and the Cape Fear Navigator, a travel publication sponsored by the Cape Fear Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Prior to that, Marita wrote on a contract basis for New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington and for Pittsburgh-Mercy Health System in Pittsburgh, Pa. She also designed and authored the curriculum for a vocational rehabilitation program at Pittsburgh-Mercy Hospital, and contributed features to several rehabilitation publications while there.

As a contractor, Marita has written and edited reports and other corporate literature for a number of agencies and businesses, content/copy-edited fiction and nonfiction books, and reviewed and revised graduate thesis projects.
Marita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh, where she majored in vocational education for adults with severe disabilities.
Neal Whittington is a North Carolina native originally from Benson and now residing in Wilmington. He has more than 13 years experience in business to business sales and marketing.
After starting his career with Ikon Office Solutions in Raleigh he transitioned to the commercial drinking water purification industry where he quickly climbed the ranks from service manager to sales representative to branch manager.
In 2009 Neal started his own social media marketing firm and began using Bon’s Eye Marketing for design and media work. Amazed at their work, Neal joined Bon’s Eye team as sales manager in the Fall of 2010.
Neal has a passion for working with businesses. He helps businesses achieve their goals by getting their sales and marketing on the same page and functioning like a well-oiled machine.
As Marketing Director of Media and PR, Hilary Brady oversees conceptualization, planning and implementation of media campaigns, public relation efforts and overall marketing strategy.
In addition, she works closely with clients to strengthen brand and message, as well as distribution of brand and message. A graduate of The University of North Carolina in Wilmington, Hilary has an MBA and BS in Business Marketing.
She’s spent the last decade perfecting her expertise in Integrated Marketing Plan Development, Budget Development & Management, Corporate Image Building/Branding Media Planning, Publicity & Community Relations, Print, Web & Direct Marketing, Creative Direction & Graphic Design, Corporate Event Planning
Having served at past companies as a Director of Marketing and a Marketing Senior Account Executive, Hilary commonly works directly with CEOs and COOs to strategize and forecast marketing methodology, as well as budget management.
Steve Rivenbark is a Wilmington native and has worked in the graphic design industry for ten years. He brings his expert knowledge of aesthetics to Bon’s Eye clients – helping them create the most influential brand to sell their products and services.
Steve specializes in logos, corporate identity, online and traditional branding. His passion to tell stories through images started as a young child. At a very early age, Steve became fascinated with technology and design. He grew up knowing he was destined to become a main player in the field of graphic arts. A self-taught freelancer, Steve ultimately moved into logo design for Logoworks.com. After a few years of conceptualizing and creating logos on a daily basis, he decided to start his own business.
In 2009, Pflummingo Design was born. It wasn't long before his firm crossed paths with Bon's Eye Marketing. After partnering with Bon’s Eye a handful of times over the next two years, Steve joined the team as the lead graphic design. In short, he rocks!
