Bon’s Eye Marketing Wins Design Award

Yippee!! We won! Oh, my goodness … we won?! Let’s see, we’d like to thank: Quark design software. The U.S Postal Service for getting our entry delivered on time, especially since we waited until the day before the postmark deadline.

Seriously, though, we’re very proud to announce that Bon’s Eye received a 2008-2009 BOOM! Award in the promotional design/advertising category for ViViD. The design competition is organized by the Charlotte and Raleigh chapters of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). We were one of 96 award winners out of more than 500 entries.

ViViD is a product for our client, Spectrum Art & Jewelry. Through Bon’s Eye Marketing’s pitches and press releases, the business and its owner, Star Sosa, appeared in Southern Living magazine and most of the area’s publications. When you’ve saturated the local market through print and broadcast, what do you do next? Bon’s Eye’s answer: Become the media and create your own publication. Over the course of several issues, ViViD tripled its circulation, spurred national attention and drew a new audience to Spectrum Art & Jewelry.

On April 4, we’ll head to the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte to attend the BOOM! Gala. ViViD not only will be included in a book given to all award winners but it also will be a part of a summer exhibition that will travel to Charlotte and Raleigh.

Marketing Firm Calls on Legal Industry for Stimulus Package

WILMINGTON, NC – Nearly one week after rolling out a stimulus package designed to reenergize businesses industry-wide, Bon’s Eye Marketing shed light on the next phase of the effort. The first chapter of the plan– revealed Monday Feb. 16. – focused solely on promotional strategies unique to retailers and restaurants.

Big Deal: Marketing Company Drafts Own Stimulus Plan

WILMINGTON, NC – In a move to quell the pain of a down economy, a North Carolina marketing firm announced plans today for a massive stimulus package. The effort focuses on businesses that want more consumers, face a shrinking customer base, and continue to spend money on ineffective PR efforts.

The firm, Bon’s Eye Marketing, revealed the news following more than three weeks of strategy tweaking. The final version of the package comes in the form of several consumer-generation campaigns, each designed to serve specific industries.

These include: Retail and restaurant; medical; banking; pharmaceutical and others. Bon’s Eye, which seemingly ripped a page from the congressional playbook, looks next week to disclose more details about the stimulus package’s individual sections. Read more…

It’s taken us long enough to jump on the blogging bandwagon! As a marketing company, we like to ride the crest of the innovation wave for our clients. In doing so, we sometimes forget to keep our own business up there as well. You know the saying … a plumber with leaky faucets.

We hope you’ll pop in on a regular basis to see what we’re up to here at Bon’s Eye. Outside of things marketing and PR related you might also find:

- A picture or two of our three boys (that’s one baby and two cats)

- Some Wii trash talk (hey, when I beat Steve, I want everybody to know!)
